The EBA addressed top priority issues to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which are extremely important for business-community.
We also elaborated recommendations on solving these issues and do believe that improvements in this area will make Ukraine a better place for doing business.
On February 8 the EBA business community met with Roman Nasirov, the Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. As usual, the discussion focused on the topical issues for business – the VAT and overpaid income tax refund, liquidation of tax police and creation of a new finance investigation service, problems of shadow economy, tax consultations etc.
What global changes in the infrastructure should business expect in 2017? Yesterday, the EBA business community had a great opportunity to meet and address the most important issues to Mr Raivis Veckagans, Acting Head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority. Mr Veckagans shared his vision of the Authority’s development in the nearest future and first steps to be taken to eliminate unnecessary barriers to business.
Nataliia Serhienko, Executive Director of the EBA Healthcare Committee, comments on the situation with the turnover of the medicines which prices will be state-regulated beginning from 1 February 2017. Meanwhile, pharmacies and distributors have already stopped the procurement of such medicines waiting for the explanatory statement from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
The European Business Association addressed an open letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine on introduction in Ukraine the reference pricing for medical devices from January 1, 2017 and reimbursement of medicinal devices from 1 April 2017.
