The Board of the European Business Association is overall responsible for the Association’s activities and strategy and supervision the EBA executive staff. The EBA Board meets once a month to approve acceptation of new EBA members and decide on other issues related to the EBA activity.
The elections to the EBA Board and to the position of the EBA are guided by the Charter of the European Business Association and by the Internal Rules and Procedures of the Association. The elections are held every year at the EBA Annual General Meeting of the EBA members.
Only full members of the EBA can be elected to the Board and to the position of the President of the EBA. Every Full EBA Member may nominate one candidate to the Board. Members of the Board are elected for a two-year period.
There can not be more than three Board members from one industry and more than three representatives of one nationality.
President and Vice Presidents are elected by the Board from duly elected Board Members. The EBA Vice President Volodymyr Lavrenchuk for 2007-2008 was elected by the EBA Board at its meeting on 19.03.2007. The President Trond Moe was elected at a Board meeting on 23 June 2008, Andrea Raffaseder of Siemens Ukraine was Moe’s predecessor holding the post till 23 June 2008. The Board is scheduled to hold another regular meeting in July to elect the EBA Vice President.

Help for flood victims in Western Ukraine - EBA Western Ukrainian Branch
On 23-27 July 2008 Western Ukraine seriously suffered from the flood that turned out to become a large-scale ecological disaster as well as a tragedy for a great number of families. The flood catastrophic consequences inflicted profound grief, vast damage and irretrievable loss on the local communities. Under the tragic circumstances any help and support will be valued - the local people are waiting and hoping for assistance.
