The EBA Christmas Parties for Kids were started up in 2002. The EBA Christmas Parties for Kids, aimed at raising charity funds for Boarding School for Orphans, have already become an annual tradition. Over the last six years the EBA Christmas Parties for Kids have become one of the most remarkable charity events in Kyiv.

In 2007 (December) the EBA held 5 Christmas Parties for Kids, one of which was an extra one due to the huge interest on the part of the EBA’s membership to participate. Last year charity events took place in the Kinopalace Cinema Theatre. There were four Ukrainian language parties and an English language one. All kids took part in the Christmas Programme that featured: contests and games with Santa Claus, fascinating animation romantic comedy ‘Enchanted’ by Walt Disney Studios. Also all of them received wonderful gifts and sweets from sponsors.

In 2007 the EBA charity events brought together over 1,000 participants, including 700 children. Over the last 6 years of the history of EBA charity events, the European Business Association has raised over 200,000 hryvnias for charity, including 40,000 hryvnias from selling tickets last year.

Over 350 toys were given to the Children’s Home Kyiv Educational Boarding School for Orphans No 3 named after Mr D. Manuilskyi and Kyiv Educational Boarding School for Children of Poor Families No 14.

The European Business Association has always focused on social responsibilities and actively involved its member companies therein. The Association, being a non-profit organization, believes charity to be an element of corporate responsibility. It promotes this practice across the business environment in Ukraine, including by using European experiences.
