The EBA Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Committee) has been established in early 2006 to serve our members who understand that doing business as usual is no longer an option and who realize the need to consider the good of the wider communities within which they exist.
Corporate Social Responsibility is just a buzzword for many but for companies that strive for success, despite their size and the nature of business, CSR is becoming a vital part of their corporate strategy. Why CSR makes a good business sense? How to choose social causes and design charity initiatives? How to integrate social initiatives into current business strategies? How to measure success? Where to find reliable partners? These and many other questions are being asked and answered on the EBA CSR Committee. The Committee members share their experience and best practice in implementing various social initiatives. They also discuss obstacles to CSR in Ukraine and endeavour to overcome them together.
Thus, the Committee's objectives may be defined as follows:
1. Promote CSR among EBA members and wider business community in Ukraine 2. Share experience and best practice in implementing social initiatives 3. Develop and promote CSR reporting standards 4. Educate companies on the right ways to promote their CSR efforts 5. Identify and overcome regulatory and other obstacles to CSR in Ukraine 6. Assist EBA members in finding reliable partners for their CSR initiatives
