The Committee was established at the end of 2007 following the EBA Exporters & Importers Committee restructure.

The main objective of the EBA Customs Committee is to focus on all range of issues pertaining to customs control and customs clearance.

The Committee brings together exporters and importers as well as representatives of transport and forwarding companies facing different issues pertaining to customs control and customs clearance.
 
According to results of election conducted in December 2007 the Committee Co-Chairs in 2008 are:

Slava Yandrykhinskiy, Senior Import Supervisor of Unilever Ukraine LLC and Viktoriia Fomenko, Lawyer of BEITEN BURKHARDT.

The Committee meets on a bi-monthly basis. The Committee meetings stick to the second Friday of the month, 9:30.
