The Committee was established at the end of 2007 following the EBA Exporters & Importers Committee restructure.

The main objective of the EBA Food Committee is to focus on all range of food related issues, including state control over food products, simplification of foodstuffs export and import formalities.

The Committee brings together representatives of food importers and exporters, food producers and food processing companies.

Following to the ad-hoc elections conducted in June 2008 the Committee Chairman is Yevhen Kaskun, Business Unit Quality Assurance and Certification Manager, Kraft Foods Ukraina.

The Committee holds its meetings on a bi-monthly basis. The Committee meetings stick to the first Friday of the month, 9:30.
