In addition to the meetings designed for the EBA membership only the EBA holds different international events in Ukraine as well as in Europe. Each of such activities of ours has different purposes, though the common ones are: to market Ukraine as a country favourable to invest to, start up bilateral dialogue in order to promote reforms in Ukraine, etc.
Our international events allow governmental representatives and business community from Europe to get first hand information on Ukraine and its business climate, and the EBA members - more opportunities to communicate in an international environment and promote their products and services.
In 2006 the EBA had experience of organising forums, seminars and conferences in Ukraine and abroad. On ad-hoc basis in cooperation with European Embassies in Ukraine we also host meetings of European trade missions in Ukraine, take part in trade and investment related meetings in European countries.
In the frames of EBA cooperation with its colleagues, European Business Organisations (EBOs), in July 2007 the EBA will potentially host an Annual Global EBO meeting. This meeting is aimed at sharing best practices and see the local EBO in action as well as at working on expanding EBO chapters in other countries in the region.
Help for flood victims in Western Ukraine - EBA Western Ukrainian Branch
On 23-27 July 2008 Western Ukraine seriously suffered from the flood that turned out to become a large-scale ecological disaster as well as a tragedy for a great number of families. The flood catastrophic consequences inflicted profound grief, vast damage and irretrievable loss on the local communities. Under the tragic circumstances any help and support will be valued - the local people are waiting and hoping for assistance.
