Round Tables

The tradition of EBA Round Table Sessions began in 2006. These sessions are arranged specially for top and senior management of EBA member companies. They are aimed at transmitting issues of concern directly to a responsible official and to proposing a company’s vision on resolving these problems.

Round Table Sessions offer a midday opportunity to network which is more convenient for business schedules of EBA members and invited gests.

There are three types of EBA Round Table Sessions: “On Political Issues”, “On Economic Issues” and “On EU-Ukraine Development Issues”. They differ by topic and guest speakers, who are: political scientists for the first type, government authorities for the second and EU official representatives for the third. As a professional expert in Ukraine’s investment environment and as the leading business association, the EBA took part in a number of government round table discussions. As a rule, the EBA holds its sessions for EBA members only.

LATEST EVENT REPORT

On 15 November 2011 the EBA Competition Committee held its regular meeting featuring representatives of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). The main topic of the meeting was application of the antimonopoly legislation in course of distribution. In course of the discussion, such issues as stipulation of prices for repurchase of goods, granting discounts in course of distribution, exclusivity of distribution right were discussed. According to representatives of the AMCU, the later pays particular attention whether the antimonopoly rules are met during distribution in such spheres as dairy products and milk, oil products, meat, medicines, etc.

Mr Mykhailo Rusynskyi, Deputy Head, State Commissioner;
Mrs Larysa Kolisnyk, Deputy Head, State Commissioner;
Mr Sergiy Stefanovskyi, State Commissioner;
Mr Sergiy Netudyhata, State Commissioner;
Mr Mykola Barash, Director of Investigation Department.

More than 40 participants attended the meeting from the EBA side.
