How do I initiate new Committee/Working Group?

You can initiate new Committee/Working Group by submitting a rationale defining the Committee/Working Group target objectives, functioning framework and the potential members’ list to EBA office via e-mail. If sufficient interest exists, then a new committee/group could be formed. Please note, that at least 5 existing or prospective EBA member companies are required in order to initiate the new Committee/Working Group.

How do I join EBA Committee?

EBA Open Committees are only admissible to EBA member companies. Follow the link to view EBA Open Committees list. To register as EBA Open Committee member please address the EBA via e-mail. Please note, that EBA closed Committee entry allowed upon the approval of respective EBA closed Committee members in line with the committee internal policy. What is EBA closed Committee?

EBA ‘Closed’ Committee is a limited group of EBA members with a distinct membership criteria and entry procedures established, providing its associates a possibility to discuss industry-specific concerns. The membership of EBA ‘Closed’ Committee is valid on members’ approval and a special purpose fee payment. Please, click here to view the current list of EBA ‘Closed’ Committees.

Who are the Committee/Working Group members?

How can I receive the information on Committee/Working Group meeting date, time, and agenda?

For comprehensive information about the events’ schedule and agenda, please visit EBA web site and choose the name of the Committee/Working Group you are interested in. Is there an attendee limit for each EBA member company to Committees/Working Group meetings?

There are attendee limits set for EBA HR Committee meetings (with not more than 2 representatives of one EBA member company allowed to attend) and the Committee events with the number of places respectively limited. If you plan to attend the EBA Committee/Working Group meeting, please submit your RSVPs in order tosecure space at thisevent.

To find out the subject of the latest EBA Committee/Working Group meeting please visit the web-page of the respective Committee/Working Group at the EBA website. You can also contact the respective EBA Committee/Working Group Coordinator to get the update on the latest Committee/Working Group meeting agenda via e-mail. Please note, that the meeting follow-ups including the agenda, minutes etc. are provided to each subscriber on a regular basis. What is the framework of concerns raised within a Committee/Working Group?

The strategic objective and specific priorities of a Committee/Working Group determined annually are available at the respective Committee’s web-page. The framework of concerns being considered by a Committee/ Working Group is closely connected however not limited to the Committee one-year priorities.

How can we share the challenging issuesof identical specificity?

You can raise and encourage any concern to be discussed within the framework of Committee meeting or submit the request specifying the debatable subject to EBA office via e-mail. Thus, your request will be forwarded to the respective Committee members to get their feedback or included into the agenda of the special meeting focused on particular concern.

How can I initiate my company’s challenge being considered within the EBA?

You can submit a problem-describing request at committees@eba.com.ua or lobbying@eba.com.ua, providing concrete reference to pertinent regulations and desired outcomes. The issue will be reviewed at the next meeting of the relevant EBA Committee/Working Group. In case the matter is urgent, the EBA will analyze and set out its official positionon the subject via e-mail. In case you company faces certain individual problem you may also address it to EBA office and the EBA will counsel the problem-solving solutions.

What are EBA lobbying instruments to advocate members’ interests?

To advocate its members’ common interests the EBA uses different instruments, namely:

  1. the position papers and appeals’ submission;
  2. EBA Investment Paper. Please follow the project link to view the details;
  3. meetings with the local authorities and high-ranked officials;
  4. public discussions of certain problems, e.g.  EuroDebates and Round Tables hosting;
  5. cooperation with EU institutions and diplomatic corps;
  6. coaction with local public institutions established under the auspices of executive and legislative bodies of Ukraine, etc.

What is EBA Investment Paper?

EBA Investment Paperis the report reflecting the unresolved problems hindering investors’ activities in Ukraine and, therefore, influencing Ukraine’s investment attractiveness. Proposals to EBA report Overcoming Obstacles to Business Success are submitted by EBA Committees/Working Groups and/or individual members. Each EBA member company can address the problem within the framework of this document by providing the respective legislative background and ensured by sufficient support of other respective EBA Committee/Working Group members.
