2nd International Conference “Insurance of Investment into Real Estate: Reality and Prospect”
On the 21st of May 2008, the 2nd International Conference “Insurance of Investment into Real Estate: Reality and Prospect” will be held at the “Hyatt Regency Kiev” hotel, initiated by the Ukrainian Building Association and group of companies “Slav-Invest”. The insurance company “INGO Ukraine” is a general partner.
The representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry for Building and Regional Development, the League of Insurance Organizations of Ukraine, representatives of leading insurance, building companies, banks and leader companies in the rendering of audit and legal services in the real estate sphere are invited on the Conference.
The major tasks of the Conference:
to determine the key groups of risks, associated with realization of the investment projects into the real estate, to single out the main trends and methods of the risk-management in the building sphere;
to characterize the main trends of investment project’s insurance in the real estate sphere at the different stages of their realization, possibility and efficiency of their using in Ukraine;
to establish a new mechanism of cooperation between the investors, builders and insurers.
EBA Regulatory Affairs Committee
was held at the EBA head office in Kyiv featuring guest speaker Ms. Kseniya Lyapina, Deputy Had of Parliamentary Committee on Regulatory Affairs and Entrepreneurship. Committee Members focused their attention on technical regulation issues and the Draft Law on State Market Control.

EBA Tax Committee
convened at the EBA Kyiv-based office. This time the Committee members focused their attention on preparation of the ad-hoc meeting to discuss tax system reform. Just to recap, the idea of arranging this meeting was talked over by the Tax Committee members previously.
