Mrs Hiltz-Ward examined typical risks companies are most likely to face like: changing market terms, losing credit, changing business volumes, losing customers’ trust, mis-managing and inflicting operational risks, etc. She stressed that nowadays advanced European companies treat risk management as a strategic function. “To ensure solid and sustainable growth, a modern manager must align the company’s risk appetite with its performance goals and manage both as an integral part of the overall strategy” - Mrs Hiltz-Ward concluded.
The participants learnt about risk identification procedures and methods of operational risk measurement. They also shared experiences on risk management in modern Ukraine.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
