Kharkiv's business community had an opportunity to present its innovation and investment projects to colleagues, representatives of diplomatic corps and foreign delegations. Mr Avakov, Governor of Kharkiv Oblast, and Mr Yuschenko, Vice-Governor, greeted the participants and informed them that the increase of direct investments in Kharkiv Oblast economy amounted to USD 232 million over the first half-year period. Mrs Vyshnevska, Deputy Head of Kharkiv Oblast Council, marked: “We would like Kharkiv Oblast to be investment-attractive”. Mr Trykoz, representative of EBRD for Eastern Ukraine informed the participants about the bank’s investments: the bank provided funding for 163 projects which equalled EURO 3 billion. He also outlined the main criteria and procedures for applying for credits. Director of Tebodin Ukraine Mr Sosnovsky briefed the attendees on the company’s projects implemented in Ukraine (totally valued at USD 2 billion). He mentioned that recently the company had opened an office in Kharkiv. It will employ up to 40 employees by the end of the year. A new logistic project was presented by Mr Shpilman, Director of Book Club Family Leisure Club – the EBA member occupying 25% of Ukrainian publishing market.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
was held in Victoriya Hotel. Mr Ihor Sbitnev, the Chairman of the EBA Branch Board, greeted participants and wished them Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. He expressed hope that the next year would bring new opportunities and prospects for business development to the EBA members .
