was held in the EBA Kyiv based office. This time, Tax Committee members discussed mostly the VAT problems faced by the EBA members, in particular taxation of consulting and forwarding services. Another important point of the agenda was the Concept of tax system reform proposed by the Government. Reviewing this very issue, participants of the meeting decided to organize an ad-hoc session devoted to strategy of tax system reform and problems faced by current system of taxation in Ukraine. Moreover, the Chairman of the Tax Committee Mr Volodymyr Kotenko of Ernst & Young informed about the meeting of the Working Group on Taxation under the CMU Investors’ Council, which took place recently in the Ministry of Finance.

at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
