was held at the conference hall of Viva Hotel. Mykhaylo Fateev, Kharkiv Vice-Mayor, Director of the Department of Economy and Municipal Property of the Kharkiv City Executive Committee, briefed attendees on current economic situation in Kharkiv in the conditions of the global financial crisis. Mr Fateev stressed that the impact of the crisis on Kharkiv economy wasn’t as big as in other regions. He informed of decrease of the portion of machine-building products and increase of consumer goods in the whole volume of products. The Vice-Mayor also highlighted negative trends in economic development of the city, such as: slowdown in privatisation process, delay in receipt of budget revenues, uncertainty with issuing the second municipal bond, investment decline, etc. “During last 3-4 years investments into fixed capital in Karkiv increased by 20-25 % annually, this year the increase amounts 3-4 %. But some positive changes also appeared. Kharkiv International airport is under reconstruction and we hope to have flights to all European capitals and to six Polish towns till 2015”, - Mr Fateev noticed.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
was held in Victoriya Hotel. Mr Ihor Sbitnev, the Chairman of the EBA Branch Board, greeted participants and wished them Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. He expressed hope that the next year would bring new opportunities and prospects for business development to the EBA members .
