was held at Istil (Ukraine). Denys Pudrik told that since the last year number of payments to the Eastern Custom decreased to 40%. Nevertheless, planned filling of the budget increased from UAH 200 mln to UAH 270 mln . This made work of the Regional Customs Service more difficult and more responsibile. In Ukraine revenues from the customs form 41% of the National Budget, while in France this rate is nearly 5% and in Germany – 1,9%. Mr Pudrik marked considerable changes in the Ukrainian customs legislation after joining the WTO. Since 01.01.2009 the excise tax for alcohol will grow up from UAH 10 r to UAH 21,5 per 1 litter. Customs duties for customs were canceled . Export customs duties on some kinds of products will decrease every year. Moreover, trade conditions with the USA and the EU were simplified. Denys Pudrik payed special attention to identification of customs value, definition of customs code and filling in of applications. The Ukrainian legislation allows up to three corrections in the customs declaration if they are not very crucial for the customs decision.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
was held in Victoriya Hotel. Mr Ihor Sbitnev, the Chairman of the EBA Branch Board, greeted participants and wished them Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. He expressed hope that the next year would bring new opportunities and prospects for business development to the EBA members .
