26/11 17:02 Annual General Membership Meeting We are pleased to mark that nearly 300 EBA member companies convened yesterday 26 November 2008, for the big occasion to vote for 8 new EBA Board members at the Annual General Membership Meeting (AGMM).
The EBA is immensely grateful to HE Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira for attending the AGMM to meet the EBA business community. With all sincerity we were happy to introduce our member companies to new Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine whose greeting speech focused on the significant importance of facilitating development and expansion of the EU-Ukraine relations and a significant role the EBA plays in this crucial process. He also outlined promising prospects for future collaboration with the European Business Association. Setting a brilliant example, HE Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira, Ambassador, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine, kindly agreed to become the EBA Board member. This step, vital for our members, will enormously assist the EBA in receiving sustainable support and guidance from the European Commission.
In his keynote address, Vice-Prime-Minister of Ukraine on Eurointegration Mr Hryhoriy Nemyrya, as a top-level official, expressed his deep appreciation of the EBA great efforts in establishing close long-term cooperation with Government. He also noted that on more than one occasion state officials benefited from in-depth knowledge and vast experience of the EBA members.
With reference to the AGMM, we thank all the nominees to the EBA Board who submitted their applications and participated in the election procedure thus demonstrating their keen commitment to our shared goals. Your time, enthusiasm and contribution are highly valued. Also we wish to thank Full members who supported their favourite candidates.
