The EBA Customs Committee members met at the EBA Kyiv-based office to discuss customs value issues with Vitaliy Naumenko, Director of Customs Value Department of the State Customs Service of Ukraine (hereinafter SCSU). Mr Naumenko informed the attendees about amendments to be introduced under the SCSU Orders to the customs declaration, in particular, to the provision 31 in the nearest future.
Among other things, these amendments will insert separate lines to the column ‘description of goods’ to distinguish between a country of origin and a country of production, etc. In addition, the EBA Customs Committee members agreed to re-elect current EBA Customs Committee Chair, Viktoriia Fomenko for the next 2009 year. This decision should be also supported by other Committee members via e-mail.
EBA HR Committee
at the EBA office in Kyiv, 1-st floor, 1A Andriyivsky Uzviz. The meeting was devoted to summarising results of the EBA HR Committee activity in 2008. During this meeting the participants discussed the Committee priorities and action plan for 2009.
was held in Victoriya Hotel. Mr Ihor Sbitnev, the Chairman of the EBA Branch Board, greeted participants and wished them Happy New Year and Merry Christmas. He expressed hope that the next year would bring new opportunities and prospects for business development to the EBA members .
