was held at Kharkiv Oblast State Administration. EBA Kharkiv Branch representative attended the meeting, at which information on VAT refund issues was shared. It was decided to create special working groups to prevent fictitious export. As Sergey Storozhenko, the Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration said, the state experiences great losses refunding export VAT for the goods that in fact have never crossed the border.

 

Since the beginning of this year about 380 million UAH have been claimed for refund by enterprises of the Kharkiv region, about 150 million UAH of which have been refunded. This information was shared by Stanislav Denisyuk, the Head of the Oblast Tax Administration. Commenting on the data of the Tax Administration, Arsen Avakov, the Head of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration pointed out that situation with VAT refund in the region is quite good and there are no serious violations. Some proposals for the changes to the active Ukrainian laws, in particular to those concerning taxes and VAT were also discussed at the meeting.
