Nataliya Klymko, the Regional Coordinator of the EBA Western Ukrainian Branch, opened the meeting. The upcoming election of a new Head of Light Industry Committee was one of the most important questions in the agenda. During 2004 and 2005 the Committee was chaired by Ihor Markuts (Lviv Textile Company). Members of the Committee also discussed other questions, such as letter to the President of Ukraine describing foreign investors’ concerns about implementation of the Law of Ukraine on VAT prepared by Lviv Textile Company, corporate profit tax (amendments to the 2005 Budget Law of 31.03.2005), avalizing of promissory notes, etc.
