Present representatives considered also the barriers hampering realization of their business projects. These include the gaps in legislation, e.g. Customs Code and Law of Ukraine “On the value added tax” of April 3, 1997 and the amendments that were made to the correspondent legislative acts.

 

Furthermore, the attendees noted with anxiety that there was still the problem as for VAT refund for production companies, though many enterprises had solved that problem positively with the help of the EBA.

 

Necessity for imported goods certification and duties payment were examined separately during the meeting as the most important ones.
