was held at the EBA office in Lviv. The topic of the meeting was: Lviv Customs Office reorganisation. Prospects and expectations. The guest speaker of the meeting was Mr. Bohdan Tokarskyy, the Deputy Head of the Commission for Lviv Customs Office abolishment.

 

Mr. Tokarskyy declared further plans and strategy as for the newly established Western Regional Customs Office activity development according to the Decree of the State Customs Office on the Regional Customs Offices Establishment and Abolishment of Some of the Customs Offices, dated September 15, 2006, and welcomed comments of the participants.

 

The participants were very interested in the abolishment issues and applied for explanations regarding the future structure of the Western Regional Customs Office. Main principles of cooperation improvement with foreign investors were also discussed.

 

The Committee’s members considered advantages of the electronic Customs base establishment and peculiarities of its functioning.
