Kyiv, Ukraine. The United Nations in Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Environment of Ukraine and with the support of Olympus company invites to participate in the national photography contest “Caring for our planet – addressing climate change”.

This contest is aimed at raising awareness on importance of addressing climate change challenges and promoting responsible attitude towards environment among decision-makers and general public.

The photography contest is organized for the first time this year. Photos taken in Ukraine and other countries can be submitted. Colour and black-and-white photographs are accepted. Entries must meet the following requirements: TIFF or JPEG format, 300 dpi resolution, 20 cm x 30 cm.

The deadline for submitting entries – 20 May 2008.

The winners will be awarded during the ceremony and exhibition opening on World Environment Day – 5 June 2008.  The exhibition will be opened till 15 June 2008 at the Institute of Contemporary Art (30 Vorovskogo Str., Kyiv).

Prizes are provided by Olympus company.
